Issue #122

Hello, sourdough fans! It’s almost Thanksgiving!

It’s time to start thinking about bread for your holiday table—not to mention for your leftover turkey sandwiches!

You can start ordering on Thursday, November 17th to pick up your bread on Wednesday, November 23rd.

Here’s what we’re baking for Wednesday, November 23rd. (Please order by Sunday, November 20th.)

The savory hearth loaves will be the FRESH ROSEMARY sourdough and the TOASTED SEED sourdough. The rosemary bread makes great sandwiches (especially turkey ones!) and wonderful dinner bread, since it is a little lighter than our other loaves (it contains 40% organic unbleached white flour). The seed bread is loaded with pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, and flax seeds, and makes lovely toast and dinner bread.

The sweet hearth loaf will be the FRUITED ALMOND sourdough, packed with golden raisins, dried cranberries, apricots, and toasted almonds.

The pan loaves will be the ALASKAN POTATO sourdough and the ever-popular SPENT GRAIN sourdough. —both of which are also fantastic for making turkey sandwiches.

See our long-term baking schedule for our two baking days in December and beyond.
