Hello! And Happy December!
You can order NOW for pickup on Wednesday, December 10th!
We will be baking twice in December: December 10 and December 17. See our long-term baking schedule for specifics. Subscribe to the email bakery bulletin (on the margin at left) if you’d like to get a reminder email when it’s time to order.
Our pickup locations are the same as last year (see details below). We’re looking forward to seeing you!
Here’s what we’re baking for Wednesday, December 10th (please order by Sunday, December 7th):
We’re doing both of our most popular holiday breads for both bakes in December: the FRUITED ALMOND sourdough, packed with golden raisins, dried cranberries, apricots, and toasted almonds, and the DARK CHOCOLATE & CHERRY sourdough, loaded with dried cherries and dark chocolate chunks.
Savory hearth loaves will be the TOASTED SEED sourdough. These popular loaves are packed with sunflower, pumpkin, sesame and flax seeds. Hearty and delicious, they make wonderful toast for breakfast or with soup!
Also, I have just printed more of the Farmers Market Cookbooks. I wrote it for the South Anchorage Farmers Market, to help people cook with more vegetables—especially those that can be grown here in Alaska. They make great Christmas gifts!
the bread ordering deadline
You’ll need to order your bread by MIDNIGHT on Sunday so we have time to plan our bake, feed our sourdough, and pre-ferment the dough! When you come pick up your bread, you can pay by cash or check.
bread pickup locations
Pick-up locations for Wednesdays:
1. Side Street Espresso, 412 G Street, downtown: 8-10am
2. Inspire Physical Therapy, at 1120 Huffman Rd, Suite 19 (in the mall at Huffman and Old Seward): 4-6pm
