This Week’s Bakery Bulletin
Sunday, September 20, 2015
We have finished our summer at the Farmers Market, and now we’ve switched to our wintertime routine, where you can order the bread here on our website and we will bake your loaves for pickup on one or two Wednesdays every month. Please sign up for our email newsletters (see the sidebar on the left)! The newsletters will remind you when we are baking, when you can order, and let you know what flavors of bread we’ll be baking .
After you order the bread, you can pick up your loaves on Wednesday evenings (4-6pm) at Inspire Physical Therapy on Huffman Road (1120 Huffman Road, in the Sushi Garden Mall) OR on Wednesday mornings (8-10am) downtown at Side Street Espresso (412 G Street).
Before we start baking for our wintertime schedule, we are taking a few weeks off. Then we’ll be back to bake bread for Wednesday, November 11. If you sign up for the email newsletter (see the sidebar at left), I’ll send a reminder to you on Thursday, November 5.
We’ll be baking about once or twice a month. Because of the three-day fermentation of the sourdough, the bread is a great keeper. It freezes and thaws beautifully, and stays fresh on your counter for at least a week. You can stock up for the month if you like. We’ll bake twice a month in November and December to accommodate the holidays, and to make sure you’ll have plenty of opportunities to order bread for gifts, if you’d like.

the bread ordering deadline
You’ll need to order your bread by MIDNIGHT on Sunday (You can begin ordering on November 5), so we have time to plan our bake, feed our sourdough, and pre-ferment the dough! You pay for the bread (cash or check) when you pick it up.
